K is for Kids.
Who are nearly all back at school now. In some ways things are quieter. I have found one thing I like about public school. It makes kids have to get into bed earlier. It forces us back into a schedule/routine. I like that, even though most of my family doesn’t.
I heard today on the radio (Christian station) that they will be saying prayers for kids this week as they go back to school. I really like that idea and know that many will be saying their own prayers for kids they know as they head back to school.

J is for Junk Food.
Which is pretty much what my family has been living on this week. We spent a couple of days doing nothing at the beach. And we lived off of cereal, pop tarts, chips and dip, chocolate covered almonds, cookies and ice cream. I guess living off junk food during vacation is ok, it’s just hard to get back to our routine now!

I is for I.
I like to read. I don’t like to be interrupted.
I like to eat pizza. I don’t like the mess it makes.
I like cookies. I don’t like them burnt.
I like to do triathlons. I don’t like their costs or that most are on Sundays.
I like to blog. I don’t like that I don’t have enough time lately.
I like to surf the internet. I don’t like pop up ads.
I like bargains. I don’t like missing out on them.
I like to rock babies. I don’t like changing diapers.
I like the ocean. I don’t like bringing home the sand.

H is for Hiking.
My husband and son just returned from a five day hiking trip in Colorado. This is the kind of hiking trip where you have to carry everything in and everything out. Not just tents and gear, but food as well. You even have to dig your own toilets!
My husband was blessed to be lent a back pack by a friend. This is one of those really good ones by The North Face . He was particularly glad to find it was more sturdy and even more comfortable than the ones the trek guides lend you.
Since it rained each day they were there, many of the kids wished they had better rain gear than the small ponchos they brought. It even hailed one day. I know those kids would have been better off suited out in sturdy gear instead of the cheap easily torn stuff! The North Face has all kinds of hiking gear including pants, jackets and shoes. My daughter said you can even get North Face bags. If you are planning on a hiking trip soon, check out all The North Face has to offer!

G is for Good.
Which my family is. My daughter said tonight that I do not spend enough time praising their good stuff. So I thought tonight I should try to do more of that. Here is what I find good about my family.
My husband is a Godly man who loves all people with a passion. He is kind and full of life. He is hard working. He loves his kids and wants the best for them. He has been good to me and is working to make our life together better than ever.
My son is an ingenious guy. He is smart, funny and clever. He loves life and he loves people. He is entrepreneurial and is always looking for a new way to make money. He wants the best for himself and those he loves. He’s charismatic and a great leader. He is a compassionate heart and takes care of those who need someone to take care of them. He is sensitive and great at helping others solve problems.
My daughter is a sweet, innocent soul. She loves music and art. She takes care of people and animals alike. She is full of learning and contentment. She is smart and good at organization and taking care of details. She is a good leader. She is a real peacemaker. She is kind and sharing. She is sensitive to the needs of others. And she is learning to enhance a mean volleyball serve!
So, in light of tonight’s discussion, I wanted to share some good things about my family.

Which is what you can have your 35mm slides converted to using Slide Scanning services. I remember when we would have missionaries come present a slide show from their recent trips. Slides would often be smudged or may even have the picture sideways. In today’s digital age, these pictures are still priceless, but would fare better if upgraded to a digital format. That is where the Slide Scanning Pros can help.
In looking at the website, they will scan your slides for .26 cents each. (They also offer and .18 cent option!) The website is full of all the information you need to see how they can upgrade your slides. They even offer a list of their competitors! You can find image samples of how slides are upgraded, get a full price list and find answers to your questions.

E is for Exercise.
Which I try to do everyday. But sometimes I get bored with it. Or just plain sick of it. And it doesn’t always seem to be producing results. So when I come across some new exercises or tips, I love to give them a try. Today I found a new set of exercises which take no gear, so you can do them at home. I gave them a try. Hard! I did one set in the morning, one at noon, and will do another tonight. I also learned some great new tips today. It’s been a good day for exercise!
