M is for Mad Money.

I love my online account. It is like my little mad money stash. I can buy anything online and not really miss the money since it is out of my online account. I keep it filled with money from blogging ads that I do. I like this. It has helped me pay for a number of items. I have bought school books, birthday presents, and stuff for myself. I love having my own little mad money to pay for these little extras!

L is for Lobster.

Which of course we had to eat while in Boston! We ordered lobster bisque, which I thought tasted too “lobster-y” probably due to the very fresh lobster! My husband ordered the lobster platter. Luckily, the waitress, born and raised in Maine, took pity on him and cracked it for him. She of course was an old pro and needed no pliers. The lobster tasted pretty good, but personally, I preferred the clam chowder!

K is for Kids Books.

There are many good books for kids. Here are a few of my favorites, from when I was a kid or that I’ve read with my own kids:

1. Any of the Chronicles of Narnia

2. Where the Red Fern Grows

3. The Bobbsey Twins

4. Tuck Everlasting

5. Holes

6. Little House on the Prairie

7. Esperanza Rising

8. American Girls

9. Hardy Boys

10. Nancy Drew

11. Charlotte’s Web

Most of these are for older kids. See if you enjoy reading these kids books with your kids!

J is for Journey.

We begin our journey tomorrow morning very early. I am looking forward to the sights we will see and the things we will do. I just am NOT looking forward to the COLD weather! Hopefully my layers, gloves and hat will keep the heat in! I even bought some funny looking boots that I think will be perfect for the weather to which we are headed. I may look funny, but I plan to try to stay warm on this journey!

I is for I can play bingo!

When the kids were small, we would play bingo together sometimes. Now that they are grown, it’s no fun to play by myself! I heard you can play bingo online. It beats playing alone!

I read that 90% of online bingo players are housewives. It’s fast and easy to play internet bingo. You don’t have to download anything. You can play free bingo or open an account to win money. You can keep that money in the account for future games or you can email to make a withdrawal. You can play with 3-100 bingo cards. There are some games where each player must have the same amount of cards. You can chat with other players (which sure beats playing bingo at home alone!) Every game has a winner! BINGO!

H is for Hoping for a Good Trip.

We are leaving soon for our spring vacation! We are heading north where it is much colder than here. I am really hoping for a good trip. I know we will have fun, but I just don’t want to be miserable in the cold weather. We have plans for outdoor activities many days and not being used to the cold weather has me a bit worried! I hope we will be able to enjoy all the things we have planned. I am hoping for a good trip!

F is for Friends.

My kids’ friends are on their spring break this week. They got to stay all weekend. The kids enjoyed just hanging out, playing ball, seeing a play, playing video games and catching up with each other. I am glad they have good friends and hope the friendships will last a lifetime.

E is for Expectations.

I have heard that unmet expectations can be hazardous to a marriage. I am finding that this can be true with any relationship. If I expect something out of someone else and they don’t deliver, I can become frustrated and angry. If they expect something out of me, the same thing can happen. Unmet expectations can be very difficult to overcome in any relationship.
