B is for Babysitting.

My daughter is getting old enough to babysit, but is not always comfortable being left alone to do so. This past weekend, she was called to babysit and I went and stayed with her. The kids were good and we ended up watching nearly all of a Zack and Cody marathon on Disney Channel. The parents stayed out later than we had thought they would so we all ended up laying around the living room. The younger one did go up and go to sleep in mom’s bed. So far, not too many adventures in babysitting!

A is for Auditions.

It is nearly time for auditions again. This time my daughter will be auditioning for a show in which she has performed before. She is hoping to get a bigger part now that she is older. The show is The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. It is a fun show and really brings out the meaning of Christmas. We are hoping her audition goes well and she gets the part she is hoping for.

Z is for Zebra Phone Case.

I got a new phone not too long ago. I kind of like it. But I hate the color. It only comes in three colors and both my kids each picked the other colors. So I went with the ugly one so as not to “copy” either of the kids. My husband told me to order a case for it. So I got on ebay and found this Zebra phone case. I ordered it, got it quickly and it fits perfectly. Now my phone looks pretty good thanks to the new Zebra striped case!

Y is for Yogurt Parfait.

In an attempt to eat more healthfully, one of my daughter’s favorite snacks is a yogurt parfait. We use vanilla yogurt, or sometimes plain, frozen fruit and cereal. We layer yogurt, frozen strawberries, raspberries and blueberries in a parfait glass. Then we top with granola, cheerios or other cereal. This yogurt parfait makes a delicious snack or breakfast.

X is for eXcitement.

Yes, I am going to “cheat” on this one, but it’s my blog and I can do so if I want to! Today is an eXciting day! My nephews are returning home after three months overseas. For the past three summers, they have gone to stay with my sister who lives in Singapore. This is the longest stint they have stayed gone. They will come in tonight. We are all anXious and eXcited to see them!
