F is for Free Kids’ Tickets

What a great way to introduce your kids to the theater. According to a recent Theater Under the Stars eBlast:

“TUTS encourages you to expose your children to the arts by making a
family trip easy and affordable through the Kids Night on Broadway
program at South Pacific and Little House on the Prairie. With the
purchase of one adult ticket to the first Wednesday evening performance
of the run (Wed. March 10 for South Pacific and Wed. April 28 for Little
House On The Prairie), TUTS offers you one free ticket for a child under
the age of 18. Your Kids Night experience includes interactive games
for the children in the grand lobby, a souvenir Playbill and other fun
treats. For tickets visit TUTS.com and use promo code KNOB.”

What a treat! Free tickets for the kids to great live theater productions!

E is for Easy Dinners.

These days I am looking more and more for easy dinners. I love recipes that are simple, use few ingredients and are easy on the pocketbook. I rely regularly on my crock pot, which is basically the dinner cooking itself! I love nutritious, filling and easy dinners!

D is for Drained.

I was sick for two days this past week. And even after laying in bed for two days and doing nothing significant today, I still feel drained. Call it lazy, call it worn out, maybe it’s being out of my vitamins, whatever, my body just feels drained. My husband says that it’s all the working out and that my body finally forced me to take a rest. Maybe so. Whatever the fact, I’ve got to get over this drained feeling!

My son went to clear his ticket. At the time, he took his Defensive Driving certificate. But he forgot his other records. So when he found those records and was ready to clear the ticket, he could not find the DD cert. He found out today that he could get a recert for $10.

Which is what you can have your 35mm slides converted to using Slide Scanning services. I remember when we would have missionaries come present a slide show from their recent trips. Slides would often be smudged or may even have the picture sideways. In today’s digital age, these pictures are still priceless, but would fare better if upgraded to a digital format. That is where the Slide Scanning Pros can help.

In looking at the website, they will scan your slides for .26 cents each. (They also offer and .18 cent option!) The website is full of all the information you need to see how they can upgrade your slides. They even offer a list of their competitors! You can find image samples of how slides are upgraded, get a full price list and find answers to your questions.

E is for Exercise.

Which I try to do everyday. But sometimes I get bored with it. Or just plain sick of it. And it doesn’t always seem to be producing results. So when I come across some new exercises or tips, I love to give them a try. Today I found a new set of exercises which take no gear, so you can do them at home. I gave them a try. Hard! I did one set in the morning, one at noon, and will do another tonight. I also learned some great new tips today. It’s been a good day for exercise!

D is for Downed Internet Connection.

Which is what I have been experiencing. Again. And it’s in direct correlation to the issue earlier this year/late last year! You would think a large company like Comcast would want to fix these issues and fix them right. It saves them time, money and reputation if they do it right the first time. Or the second. Or even third. But months and months of unresolved issues is unacceptable. And yet, we have no other choice. Well, there is one other which misled my husband on the initial phone call when trying to get their service. I have been told that the downed internet connection issue should be resolved by tomorrow afternoon.

My kids’ friends are on their spring break this week. They got to stay all weekend. The kids enjoyed just hanging out, playing ball, seeing a play, playing video games and catching up with each other. I am glad they have good friends and hope the friendships will last a lifetime.

E is for Expectations.

I have heard that unmet expectations can be hazardous to a marriage. I am finding that this can be true with any relationship. If I expect something out of someone else and they don’t deliver, I can become frustrated and angry. If they expect something out of me, the same thing can happen. Unmet expectations can be very difficult to overcome in any relationship.
